While working at a house, I found this poor little guy stuck in a mouse trap. He was alive, but completely stuck. I had two options: end his suffering or try to set him free.

Maybe I’ve gone soft in my old age, but I grabbed my knife and started carefully cutting through the trap, keeping his head pointed away from me. With a little patience and only minor scale damage, we persevered!

I carried him to the edge of the woods and let him go. Before scurrying off, he turned back and looked at me. Just for a second. Maybe that was his way of saying thank you.

I recently decided to a new chapter in my life. For those of you that know me, you know the first instrument I ever learned how to play was drums. I was 5 years old & well on on my way to becoming a rock & roll God! The last part never panned out, but I never lost my passion for music. I’ve played so many different instruments in so many different bands… but now, after all these years, I’m back to where it all started. Drum sets are A LOT more expensive now than they used to be, so it will take me some time to build my dream kit… but rest assured I’m back at it! #meinl #meinlcymbals #meinlfamily
